PistolStar Expands Password Power’s Offerings to Include System i

Nashua, NH, August 7, 2006 – PistolStar today announces that its Password Power 8 plug-ins fully support IBM’s all-in-one” System i business computing platform, which combines open standards and integration to deliver the security, virus-resistance and legendary system uptime customers need to run the business applications of their choice.

PistolStar’s Web Set Password Plug-In is fully functional with Lotus Domino on the IBM System i (iSeries) platform. Web Set Password is a true Domino enhancement offering over 35 password security and management features not found in Lotus Domino R6/7.

The most notable of Web Set Password’s features include:

• The Self-Registration Utility - Enables end-users to create their own user accounts without administrator involvement, reducing administrator Help Desk calls and time;
• Three-strikes functionality - Securing the login process by preventing dictionary attacks;
• Robust password complexity and expiration rules - Helping IT to achieve security “best practices” through its ability to define multiple password rules and preferences; and
• Browser-based self-service password management, including reset/recovery of lost/forgotten password.

PistolStar’s Authentication Plug-In for Lotus Domino enables browser-based single sign-on by authenticating users connecting to Domino via a browser with the Active Directory password in real-time.

PistolStar’s Authentication Plug-In for IBM System i allows the synchronization of the user’s System i account with the Active Directory password.
